Restrictions Ease for Victorian Businesses

As announced yesterday by the Acting Premier, several key adjustments have been made to Victoria’s COVID restrictions. The following changes are effective from 11:59pm today, Thursday 17th June:

  • Face coverings must be worn indoors (except at home) but are no longer required outdoors
  • Melbourne will no longer have a 25km travel limit
  • Travel between Melbourne and regional Victoria will be permitted
  • If you can work from home, you should continue to do so

Below are some of the changes effecting businesses in Metropolitan Melbourne:

Hospitality

  • Open for seated service only with maximum patron cap of 150 per venue with no more than 75 indoors
  • Venues may have up to 25 patrons before the density quotient applies

Accommodation

  • Open with bookings permitted for single households plus two adults (and their dependents)

Real Estate Services

  • Auctions permitted with maximum patron cap of 50 outdoors
  • Inspections permitted to maximum of 10, subject to density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm
